I had the personal experience of navigating my own parents’ journey which took us through caregivers, taking away the car, overseeing financials, updating legal documents, VA benefits, streamlining medical records, planning funerals, independent living, hospitalizations, skilled nursing, geriatric psych, secured memory care, assisted living, hospice and personal care homes.
My own journey inspired me to open the Senior Living Specialists branch in Houston. I help families who are overwhelmed with the maze of senior care options and in need of guidance find the appropriate senior residence or community for their loved ones. This provides immense personal fulfillment.
Senior Living Specialists has had the opportunity to tour many communities throughout Houston and surrounding areas which offer various levels of care, types of living arrangements and cost options. Along the way I have accumulated over 400 partners that help to facilitate and support the families along this journey. My service is complimentary to my clients.

While studying for my bachelor’s degree in nutrition at the University of Texas at Austin, I took a job in the dietary department of a skilled nursing facility. I quickly fell in love with the residents and decided to pursue a career where I could positively impact the lives of seniors.
Since that time, I have worked in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals, then in assisted living and memory care communities. I’ve worked with and learned from some of the best in the industry. I advanced from clinical nutrition and dining to operations, managing a business office and an executive director role.
During my career, I have helped guide many family members through the spectrum of senior living options while enriching the lives of seniors in my communities. I feel strongly that seniors benefit from the social environment and care provided by dedicated professionals in the field, and I am passionate about helping my clients find the appropriate care and live better.

My career has spanned over several different fields, but my niche has always been on the administrative side of business.
Born and raised in Michigan, my husband and I moved to Houston in 2007. After taking some time off to raise our four children, I found my home with Senior Living Specialists Houston in 2021.
Combining my love for helping people and keeping things organized, I mostly work behind the scenes to help keep SLS Houston running smoothly. If there’s a spreadsheet to be made, or a database to be maintained, I have a hand in it. I have a newfound love for the senior living world and I’m happy to be a part of this journey with our clients.
