I had the personal experience of navigating my own parents’ journey which took us through caregivers, taking away the car, overseeing financials, updating legal documents, VA benefits, streamlining medical records, planning funerals, independent living, hospitalizations, skilled nursing, geriatric psych, secured memory care, assisted living, hospice and personal care homes.

My own journey inspired me to open the Senior Living Specialists branch in Houston. I help families who are overwhelmed with the maze of senior care options and in need of guidance find the appropriate senior residence or community for their loved ones. This provides immense personal fulfillment.

Senior Living Specialists has had the opportunity to tour many communities throughout Houston and surrounding areas which offer various levels of care, types of living arrangements and cost options. Along the way I have accumulated over 400 partners that help to facilitate and support the families along this journey. My service is complimentary to my clients.

I stepped into my first role in senior living in the early Spring of 2018. I had become curious about this somewhat opaque world after a dear friend had decided to transition from home to a senior living community. Their experience helped me to understand how challenging this process can be. Such decisions are complicated, particularly when there are multiple options, and that they are taking place at a time that we are at our most vulnerable and emotional.

My roles included Sales Counselor at the Forum at Memorial Woods and Community Relations Manager at Belmont Village West University. I grew to love my work. I learned a great deal about senior care in all its complexity. I had the privilege to support and inform individuals and families as they made life-changing decisions, an opportunity for which I am deeply grateful.

My career has spanned over several different fields, but my niche has always been on the administrative side of business.

Born and raised in Michigan, my husband and I moved to Houston in 2007. After taking some time off to raise our four children, I found my home with Senior Living Specialists Houston in 2021.

Combining my love for helping people and keeping things organized, I mostly work behind the scenes to help keep SLS Houston running smoothly. If there’s a spreadsheet to be made, or a database to be maintained, I have a hand in it. I have a newfound love for the senior living world and I’m happy to be a part of this journey with our clients.
